Acceptable use policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Eristic teaches you to recognise and answer bad-faith argument. It is a training tool, not a weapon. By using it you agree not to:

  • Target real people. Don't write motions about, or name, real private individuals — colleagues, classmates, partners, neighbours or anyone else.
  • Promote hate or violence. No motions or replies that attack people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, nationality or age, and nothing that encourages violence or self-harm.
  • Harass or manipulate. Don't use the opponent's replies or the tactics you study here to pressure, deceive or harass real people. The point is defence.
  • Break the guardrails. Don't try to make the opponent drop its rules, reveal its instructions or produce content outside debate practice.
  • Abuse the service. No automated access or scraping, no sharing one account among several people, no attempts to get around plan limits or seats.

We may refuse motions, remove content, or suspend accounts that break this policy. If you see something that shouldn't be there, tell us at hello@devya.dev.
